Frequently asked questions about skip hire

Where can I put my skip?

Your skip can be dropped off on your drive, garden, building site or any piece of private land providing you have the owners permission.

What if I want a skip on the road?

It is legal requirement for us to obtain permission from the local council before placing any skip on the public highway, verge or pavement.  We arrange  all of this on your behalf and depending on which local authority area you live in we can usually arrange the necessary permit within a day or two.

The permit will be valid for a period of 28 days and is held and insured by Greenfield Waste Management Ltd.

There is an additional cost for this permit please contact us for a quotation.

How long can I keep my skip?

Our standard hire period is 14 days.  However we are always willing to negotiate for longer periods.  Please contact us for more information.

Is there anything I can't put in my skip?

Yes - please do not put fridges, freezers, tyres, gas bottles, car batteries, florescent tubes or asbestos into your skip.
